What types of batteries does BatteryCentr take off your hands?

Accepted Answer

We collect and assess end-of-first-life lithium-ion batteries — primarily EV car battery packs and modules, plus e-scooter and e-bike batteries. Damaged or unknown-condition packs are assessed individually. If you're unsure whether yours qualify, just ask us.

We don't know what to do with our end-of-life batteries yet. Can you advise?

Yes — that's our battery consulting service. Before anything is collected, we assess what you actually hold, what the realistic value routes are, which obligations apply to you under the EU Battery Regulation and dangerous-goods rules, and what we would recommend in your position. You get that recommendation in writing, and you can act on it with or without us.

Can BatteryCentr store batteries for us?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If batteries are taking up space or creating a storage burden, we can help move them into our controlled process while we assess, store, grade and route them toward the highest-value outcome.

How do you maximise value?

Accepted Answer

Every battery is different. We test and grade condition, capacity and safety, then match each battery to the right route — reuse, repair, specialist demand or recycling — instead of forcing every asset through one channel.

Do you handle logistics across Europe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. BatteryCentr is building a logistics network across Europe for compliant collection and movement of used batteries, including regulated dangerous-goods transport where required.

Are the batteries safe and compliant?

Accepted Answer

We build handling, storage, transport and testing around recognised standards — including UN 38.3 transport testing, ADR dangerous-goods transport, IEC 62660 cell testing, and the EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542).

What happens to batteries that can't be reused?

When a battery truly reaches end-of-life, we route it to our network of certified recycling partners across Europe — closing the loop responsibly instead of sending usable value to waste.
